Two typefaces, one tension. DM Serif Display for the headline. A contemporary serif with editorial authority. Its ink traps and letterforms carry weight without ornamentation. It says permanence.

Satoshi for everything else. A geometric humanist sans-serif with warmth at small sizes. Precise without being cold. It says precision.

The pairing is deliberate. Serif authority above. Sans clarity below. Together they hold the page without competing for it.

Three colours. Not a palette. A system.

#f5f4f0 Background. Warm cream, not white. White is clinical.
#1c1917 Text. Near-black, not pure black. Pure black is harsh.
#866330 Accent. Amber. Blue would have said technology. Amber says craft.

The amber was tuned for accessibility: the original choice failed WCAG AA by a narrow margin. The solution was to darken it fractionally, preserving the warmth while lifting the contrast ratio to 4.97:1. The accessible version of a colour, not a different colour.

A single HTML file per page. No build tools. No frameworks. No npm. No bundler. No minifier. No preprocessor.

CSS custom properties for theming. Vanilla JavaScript for interactions. Fonts self-hosted. No external requests, the critical path clean. Each page weighs under 15KB uncompressed.

Meticulous doesn't mean complicated. It means nothing unnecessary.

Four micro-interactions. Each earned.

The cursor dot. 7px, amber, replaces the system cursor. A small declaration of intent from the moment you arrive. The system cursor is generic. This one is ours.

The period glow. Move your cursor near the headline period and it softly illuminates, proportional to proximity. It rewards attention without demanding it. The kind of detail only a meticulous visitor will find.

The underline draw. Links draw a line left-to-right over 500ms on hover. Not a style choice. A small ceremony before interaction.

The envelope cursor. Hover the email and the cursor becomes a tiny envelope. The most specific interaction on the page: you are about to send mail, here is the icon of sending mail. Nothing else needed explaining.

"Meticulous software." took many iterations. So did the body. The brief was simple: communicate craft, expertise, and AI without sounding like everyone else.

The rule: no justification. Claims without defence, confidence without explanation. The period at the end of the headline is amber because the period is the point.

"Craft amplified." closes the page because it names what the combination of human expertise and AI actually produces. Not a feature. Not an outcome. Not a capability. A raising of the standard.

Contrast ratios measured and adjusted. Focus indicators visible. Semantic HTML throughout. The page title kept in sync with the headline. The meta description written to match the copy, not summarise it.

On touch devices, the custom cursor is never invoked. The email target area extends 12px beyond the visible text in every direction. Precision includes being easy to tap.

Handwritten. Claude as a collaborative tool. Not to generate code to paste, but as a thinking partner. Every line reviewed. Every decision questioned.

The AI was hand-tuned to the work. Not the work handed to the AI. That distinction is the whole company.
